Fraunhofer IAO project teams have an interdisciplinary background and extensive experience, enabling them to develop practical solutions for both the private and public sectors. We offer various forms of collaboration:

A significant number of our projects are commissioned directly by businesses or public sector bodies. We provide a wide range of services including feasibility studies, market and trend studies, product engineering, systems development and implementation, strategy development, process development and organizational design.

We organize and coordinate projects and consortia on both a national and international level as part of our publicly funded research work. Our goal is to find answers to some of the key challenges of the future and help industry and society develop in a sustainable way. Companies and institutions which have adopted a forward-looking stance and which are keen to help shape future trends can become research and industry partners.
