Student Day  /  October 22, 2026, 15:30 - 19:30 Uhr

flaQship Student Day

How can cutting-edge quantum computing research contribute to real-world applications? And what opportunities are available for students who want to work at the interface of quantum algorithms, high-performance computing, and industrial applications?

The flaQship Student Day invites bachelor’s and master’s students in physics, mathematics, and computer science to explore these questions and gain direct insights into current research activities at flaQship. The event offers an opportunity to meet researchers, learn about exciting master’s thesis opportunities, and discover how students can contribute to shaping the future of applied quantum computing.

The programme focuses on four core research areas:

  • Quantum Computing and Machine Learning.
  • Materials Science and Chemistry.
  • Quantum Error Correction.
  • QC and HPC as a Service.

Participants will learn more about the research conducted in these fields and gain insights into the methods, challenges, and potential applications of quantum technologies. The event also provides an opportunity to engage directly with researchers, ask questions, and discuss possible topics for a master’s thesis.

The flaQship Student Day welcomes both students who are already familiar with quantum computing and those who are beginning to explore the field. The event offers opportunities to connect with experts and learn more about research in an interdisciplinary environment.

The event is aimed at

Bachelor’s and master’s students in physics, mathematics, and computer science who are interested in quantum computing, quantum technologies, machine learning, materials science, chemistry, quantum error correction, high-performance computing, or related fields.
