How lighting systems raise performance and lower energy costs

Having the right kind of lighting can improve employees’ performance, health and comfort. It can also help reduce office power consumption for lighting by up to 60 percent. LED and OLED technology offer vast potential for tailored solutions.

Intelligent lighting concepts reflect individual design options, integrate glare-free natural lighting and ensure comfortable, performance-enhancing lighting colors and intensity.

At Fraunhofer IAO, we research and develop innovative lighting technology for office and production workspaces as well as for labs. Since 2010, we have been designing and testing prototype lighting and display systems in our Visual Technologies Lab.

For our customers, we

  • analyze individual requirements for intelligent workplace lighting,
  • develop concepts based on this analysis that offer high user acceptance,
  • bring this new efficiency to life through pilot installations, and
  • provide on-site support for implementing new systems.

Ready to optimize light ergonomics in the workplace and improve your energy efficiency? We’ll be happy to advise you!
