By public transportation
From Stuttgart main station or the airport, take S-Bahn (suburban rail) line S1, S2 or S3 in the direction of Vaihingen as far as the stop »Universität« (university). Follow the exit sign »Wohngebiet Schranne/ Endelbang«. From here it is a ten-minute walk to the institute (about 500 m).

By car
Arriving on the A8 autobahn from the direction of Karlsruhe or Munich, when you reach the Stuttgart interchange (Autobahnkreuz Stuttgart), turn onto the A81/A381 following the signs to Stuttgart-Zentrum (city center). Continue to the exit »Universität« (university), then turn left at the traffic lights into Universitätstraße, which leads into Nobelstraße about 120 m later. The entrance to the Fraunhofer complex is on the right, just beyond the »Nobelstraße« bus stop. Parking is available in the institute center’s parking garage.

The Fraunhofer institute center in Stuttgart is about 13 km from the airport or about 12 km from the main station (Hauptbahnhof).
