Systematically involving users and customers in the development of interactive technology

When users are actively involved in the decisive development phases of interactive products and systems, manufacturers receive important feedback early on. This allows them to tailor products perfectly to their target groups and increase user acceptance.

At the User Experience Lab run by Fraunhofer IAO, the interaction between humans and machines can be recorded and analyzed using modern media technologies and specific evaluation tools. The aim is to systematically integrate the requirements and creative potential of users while taking into account market conditions and manufacturer requirements.

This facilitates a targeted design of attractive products and services that are optimized for ease of operation, have emotional appeal and achieve commercial success. For our clients, we

  • analyze user behavior systematically,
  • identify opportunities for improvement during the development process,
  • develop user-driven innovations, and
  • harmonize technical innovations with user needs and market requirements.

Various user situations, such as those encountered at work, on the go or at home, can be simulated in our User Experience Lab. Studies are carried out at Fraunhofer IAO or on the client’s premises.

Do you want your IT-supported products and services to be as easy to use as possible? Benefit from Fraunhofer IAO’s expertise and infrastructure!
